Maintenance Technician FTC

Role overview

 

As part of a maintenance team this role will provide shift cover over a 24 hour cycle, supporting the engineering site teams to deliver optimum use of resources, that ensure the site delivers safety, productivity, quality, cost, and service objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement. The person will support the engineering team to deliver site OEE targets/Improvements. This role will be a 12/18 month FTC initially.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Work with the Engineering and Operational teams to deliver agreed OEE targets ensuring that all relevant OE tools, techniques and governance are applied.
  • Support line performance improvement through the analysis of run rates, change-overs and SKU sequences.
  • Be proactive in implementing OEE/continuous improvement with regard to line operating practices and equipment.
  • Carry out the plant preventative maintenance plan as scheduled and update completion on SAP.
  • Attend reactive breakdowns, record corrective actions and support/lead on follow up actions and reviews

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Practical Engineering / Technical / Facilities Maintenance experience with a proven track record of maintenance service delivery.
  • Experience of working within a strategic, target driven manufacturing environment which is measured by robust Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Working knowledge and application experience of delivering specific Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication are essential.
  • Whilst core skill is Mechanical, suitable candidate must be cross skilled Electrical with a strong can-do attitude.
  • Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.

 

Education/Qualifications

 

  • Minimum qualification as time served Fitter or Electrician.
  • 5 years post Apprenticeship experience.
