About the Role:
The International Supply Chain team is the interface by which the demand from the entire International Business Unit is identified, validated, and fulfilled. It is a key component in ensuring that the Business unit fulfils its strategic aims and objectives. The team is central to delivery and presents great opportunities for its members to develop both themselves, and the systems and processes in place, as well as providing exciting opportunities and exposure to virtually all parts of the wider business.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be to ensure that the Inventory required to meet the demand identified by the International BTI Markets is planned for production and moved to the required location in a timely manner, enabling fulfilment of customer orders and provision of premium customer service. The key metrics for this role are Inventory availability and Inventory coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the supply planning processes are executed effectively for all supply sources, providing a supply plan in a timely manner that is aligned with defined operational constraints and meets agreed inventory targets. Ensure communication of plans as required to enable wider business planning to be fulfilled as required by the wider BU planning cycles.
  2. Complete regular reviews with all supply sources, ensuring supply plans are shared effectively, any modifications are agreed and confirmed supply plans are built into models accurately. Ensure any supply risks arising from deliverable plans are reviewed and mitigation agreed or escalated as required.
  3. Plan and execute the transfer of goods or materials from the production source to the supply location – engaging the support of stakeholders and/or third-party providers as required.
  4. Support scenario modelling requirements as required enabling rapid impact analysis of options proposed to resolve gaps or risks in the plans created.
  5. Ensure regular reviews are in place with all supply sources, and that current planning constraints are reflected in all planning tools/models as necessary.
  6. Support root cause analysis of inventory availability issues and ensure processes and/or models implement any possible learnings to reduce the risk of further issues.
  7. Support regular reviews of inventory models and inventory categorisation to reflect changes in performance, achievable forecast accuracy and supply volatility, in order to ensure customer service is maintained to agreed targets, and operating costs are optimised, and inventory redundancy is minimised.
  8. Complete regular monitoring of inventory redundancy, and ensure awareness in stakeholder groups, enabling mitigation opportunities and financial provision.
  9. Work closely with Marketing and Technical Implementation teams, to ensure NPD implementations are incorporated into and supply plans and planning tools effectively.
