Job Overview

 

To lead and deliver the site plans for plant, people, and processes, within the context of the overall Manufacturing Excellence strategy and aligning the delivery requirements of the GB&I operations. To work with the Site Leadership Team and broader stakeholders to support the delivery of the Supply Chain Excellence Improvement Road map. Overall responsibility and accountability for specified area which includes departmental metrics and overall plan delivery. Support the development and implementation of the cultural change needed to embed Continuous Improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the development of the factory strategy to support achievement of the company 20/25 vision.
  • Drive zero loss manufacturing principles consistently across site.
  • Effectively lead CI communications (Team talks, Team briefs, Newsletter).
  • Influence and coach key stakeholders in development of CI Culture.
  • Lead, train, and mentor all in the use of CI ensuring continual development of skills and knowledge transfer of Best Practice.
  • Review and analyze data & gain additional insight from stakeholders to support the identification of losses and creation of improvement plans and activities.
  • Ensure that loss analysis and benefit delivery is targeted from an \"end to end\" perspective that delivers the best outcome for the business.
  • Lead or coach Focused Improvement projects across the site, drawing on the relevant data, insight, and stakeholder input.
  • Manage change, aligning people, methods & knowledge.
  • Keep up to date with leading edge CI practices (TPM/Six Sigma).
  • Coach teams on CI tools and run workshops and learning events to support development.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand trade-offs and deliver end-to-end value for Britvic, avoiding the pitfalls of siloed thinking.
  • Work with the Supply Chain insights teams to identify opportunities to drive value and enable our people through data.

 

Requirements

 

  • Proven Continuous Improvement experience in a FMCG environment or similar high volume automated environment is desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering the program for performance improvement in fast moving, demand volatile, operational environments.
  • Demonstrable expertise, knowledge & application of driving sustainable change via TPM Methodology, Lean six sigma or a relevant alternative.
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to integrate differing functional demands is essential.
  • Ability to cross between Lead, Manage, Coach styles & flex approach according to the situation.
  • Ability to deliver change through building people capability in an engaging and energetic way.
  • Proven Project Management – ability to manage a broad range of projects.
  • Proven Communication and Stakeholder Management.
  • Strong MS Office skills, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Education/Qualifications

 

  • Higher Education Diploma in Lean practice is desirable.
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end business processes is essential.
  • Working in a similar CI role with demonstrable achievements is desirable.
