Job Overview
As an Energy Centre Operative at Britvic, you will be responsible for delivering world-class engineering technical excellence in fault resolution and maintenance standards, promoting the delivery of site scorecard measures. Your role will involve safely monitoring and maintaining all Facilities equipment on site within Quality and safety margins, ensuring optimum utilization and reliability to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in delivering the Engineering department's vision and strategic plan, developing and deploying a strategy for energy, equipment, and maintenance that supports the site's progression and development in line with the Britvic Work System (BWS).
- Develop world-class engineering solutions with the team, driving a culture of strong performance, striving to achieve full potential, and achieve business objectives.
- Work in partnership with the Operation core teams to improve key business results and develop engineering skills and knowledge by promoting a professional manufacturing team culture.
- Develop, implement & deliver a robust strategy for mechanical, electrical, building services & utilities provision and control of engineering budgets to deliver cost-effective results.
- Identify and action opportunities for improvements within the engineering environment to promote a continuous improvement culture within the engineering and operational teams.
- Carry out scheduled quality and safety checks on facilities produced and effectively and proactively manage issues that arise.
- Provide and monitor factory-wide support systems for adherence to company policies and statutory regulations for health, safety, and environment for Britvic staff and contractor management.
- Work in partnership with the Central Engineering Department to plan and support all capital engineering projects, ensuring successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets.
Requirements
- Practical Engineering / Technical / Facilities Maintenance experience with a proven track record of maintenance service delivery.
- Extensive experience working within a strategic, target-driven manufacturing environment measured by robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Extensive experience providing technical expertise for completing Intrusive Planned & Preventative Maintenance Schedules (PMs), HACCP studies, and audits.
- Working knowledge and application experience of delivering specific Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
- Extensive experience with Safety Systems to manage work of internal resources and external contractors utilizing: Isolation / Lock-off procedures, Risk Assessment, and Permit to Work.
- Strong interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills.
- IT literate, including MS Word & Excel.

Education/Qualifications
- City & Guilds or relevant qualification, along with a 17th Edition regulation certificate (or equivalent).
- ONC or HNC in electrical / mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
- BOAS experience.
- Legionella LCOP8 trained.
