Inbound Raw Materials Operator - Double Days

About the Role:


Rotating weekly on a day shift pattern (early shift / late shift), receive and distribute Raw materials to enable production to run smoothly. Meeting or exceeding performance through working in a highly flexible and multi-skilled team undertaking a wide range of tasks. 


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Completion of Raw material management including put-away and pick
  2. Ensure that the Inbound operation works in conjunction with Production to deliver against the plan
  3. Effective daily use of SAP, Windows systems and others as required.
  4. Accountable for basic error resolution and stock accuracy.  
  5. Ensure that internal and external Customer Service targets are met in line with scorecard expectations 
  6. Vehicle loading and unloading
  7. Inspect all deliveries and raise quality concerns with the quality team
  8. Actively involved in continuous improvement activities e.g., Zero Loss, Health & Safety, costs.  
  9. Ensure that Vehicle Turn Around Time on Site targets are met and exceeded. 
  10. To ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Environment Statutory standards, and Site policies. 
  11. Undertake the required workplace transport pre-shift and/or safety inspections
  12. To assist in covering team members during absence

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Significant SAP operational experience
  2. Previous experience in warehousing operations
  3. Experience using various MHE’s (material handling equipment)


  1. Recognised (RTITB) FLT or equivalent qualification  
  2. 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English or equivalent (any grade) 
  3. Appropriate qualifications in warehousing e.g. NVQ’s desirable
