About the Role:
In this role, the primary responsibility is to ensure that the site is compliant in all aspects of training and lead professionally and effectively. There will be a combination of safety, quality, compliance, and the skills necessary for a successful performance of one's substantive duties.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess organisational training needs by analysing operational data, conducting surveys, interviewing stakeholders, and consulting with leadership.
  2. Design and develop training programs based on needs assessments. This includes creating training objectives, structuring training content, determining instruction methods (workshops, online, on-the-job, etc.), and selecting appropriate training media.
  3. Create training materials such as leader's guides, participant guides, presentations, videos, roleplay scenarios, and training aids.
  4. Schedule and coordinate logistics for training events including reserving facilities.
  5. Facilitate & Lead training sessions, workshops, and other interactive learning opportunities.
  6. Evaluate program effectiveness using surveys, observations, focus groups, and other methods to identify opportunities for improvement.
  7. Maintain accurate training records including participation, training hours, and spending. Provide reports on key training metrics.
  8. Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to promote a continuous learning culture.

Safety

  1. Demonstrate safety leadership with an ‘audit-ready’ philosophy and in-line with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, ISO standards and best practice. 
  2. Meet all safety key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined by the wider business.
  3. Ensure all safety actions are closed out efficiently within required timescales with robust measures.  Effectively communicate, where appropriate, action resolution(s)

Quality

  1. Ensure all Quality targets are met through absolute adherence to defined standards and promotion of industry best practice.
  2. Support activities required to achieve ‘Green’ status on the Quality scorecard.
  3. Ensure the site is compliant with all aspects of quality training, any gaps identified, need a plan owning through to completion.

Delivery

  1. Responsible for communicating with the production teams with regards to training gaps and implement plans to address those gaps minimising production downtime

Cost

  1. Effectively manage costs. 
  2. Communicate with other sites scheduling joint training to reduce costs.
  3. Raise purchase orders for required training.

People

  1. Promote team progression; define full development plans for all team members, both full-time and agency.
  2. Design tailored, measurable training plans. 
  3. Regularly assess team competence to ensure role requirements are adequately met and demonstrated to required standard, act where necessary on 


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Excellent IT skills in Microsoft office, (Excel, outlook, PowerPoint word)
  2. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  3. Strong organisational and project management abilities
  4. Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
  5. Comfortable with technology and e-Learning tools
  6. Hands on, practical knowledge and experience working in a similar role within FMCG or other similar business. 
  7. Proven ability to be able to coach others and bring them with you to deliver key projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  8. Experience of communicating with external companies
