About the Role:

To develop and implement the strategy for Continuous Improvement for the site

Engage the site teams to capture and replicate best practice, align activities and grow capability through application


Key Responsibilities:

Set out the strategic vision and embed a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing (Supply Chain) across the site

Utilise lean tools/principles to improve production systems and reduce waste (e.g. Standard work, Scientific Problem Solving, 5s, SMED, JIT, Kaizen and OEE)

Drive OEE across site to its maximum

Facilitate and support cross-site / cross-functional, continuous improvements projects, and structured problem-solving activities

Identify opportunities and implement operational excellence / continuous improvement projects throughout the value stream and wider business

Provide analytics to support the need for a change and the return on investment

Develop and support systems; to foster accountability and recognition of continuous improvement efforts.

Develop the Continuous Improvement capabilities of the organisation by creating and deploying training for employees

Identify and implement methodologies that will achieve and sustain gains in the organisation

Operate to current Good Manufacturing Practice, Regulatory, Safety and Compliance standards


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Experience of working in an FMCG environment

Must have ability to lead a project team and liaise with/manage key Customers.

Must have an in-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE) and demonstrate use of same.

Must have knowledge in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spread sheets.

Sound knowledge of manufacturing and HSE process is required

Proven track record of implementing best practice and new ways of working.

Working knowledge of SAP & competent with MS Office, Word, Excel and Power pointExperienced in a Leadership role managing a team
