Job Overview
The Customer Development Manager role is to cover both the Plenish & Jimmys portfolio for Grocery accounts – taking on all the normal account manager responsibilities but with the added excitement of a start-up mentality. The role is about growing our businesses quickly, so requires someone with initiative, resilience & pace.
Key Responsibilities
- To build relationships with new buyers in new categories – seeking new business opportunities
- Love the brands, live the brands! Understand what sets us apart from our competition – from ingredients / sustainability / culture / shoppers
- Be passionate about selling
- Work closely with cross functional teams:
- With Category but be able to 'self serve' to build sell in decks & stories for buyer meetings
- With Marketing to build out activation plans & content required for social media
- With Supply to ensure accurate forecasting
- Full P&L responsibility – must understand P&Ls, modelling and making proposals to gain listings
- Support building out a broader contact strategy to identify and capitalize on further business opportunities
- To pro-actively track performance of your accounts, implementing course correct tactics as necessary & new business opportunities
