Job Overview

 

Britvic is seeking a dynamic and committed Commercial Accounting Analyst - Ireland to join our team. In this role, you will be the lead point of contact for accounting, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of trade investment spends across all routes to market in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. You will own period-end and in-period activities, financial reporting, business partnering, balance sheet management, and external audits for trade investments.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare robust and timely period-end accounts, trading contribution analysis, reconciliations, adjustments, and provisions for trade investment areas and PBI Balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide accounting and financial support, guidance, and regular deep-dive analyses to Sales/Commercial teams, Finance Business Partners, and Finance control.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, risks, and opportunities in business conduct, balance sheets, and provisions.
  • Prepare and provide necessary material for external audits related to investment spend.
  • Support projects, IT system upgrades, and corrective workarounds for system issues impacting trade investment areas.

 

Requirements

 

  • Accountancy qualification/Part Qual (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office, SAP R3, SAC, and preferably Kantar/Xtel
  • Proactive self-starter with problem-solving abilities and strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to challenge senior stakeholders, highly organized, and reliable
  • Background in FMCG industry (retailer or manufacturer) preferred
