About the Role:                                                                    

The Insights team is responsible for gathering intelligence and delivering insights on the soft drinks market in Ireland, both North & South, across all channels.  These insights help to inform the brand marketing, commercial and finance teams with whim we work closely.

Business performance tracking focuses on using quantitative data from external agencies to deliver a robust view of the soft drinks market, and the Britvic and competitors’ performance within it. The role will assist the Insights Marketing Manager in maximising the intelligence gathered from the data and the effectiveness with which it is communicated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse multi-agency market data (Nielsen, Dunnhumby, Kantar, Global Data etc.), identifying trends and patterns, to track business performance in both the short and long term to allow the business to course correct in year.
  • Assist with retailer specific analysis during category reviews to ensure quick turn around on retailer demands driving continuity of Britvic’s reputation as a valued category partner.
  • Assist in strategic planning through long-term analysis of market trends and forecasts.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure insight is accessible, actioned and shared maximising ROI of market data.
  • Manage deliveries from external agencies, in terms of both punctuality and validity, to allow for on time and valid internal delivery resulting in reliable and robust reporting.
  • Source best quality data and keep abreast of changes in service providers and products.
  • Maintain and update all market reports and sites to ensure insights are easily accessible and current.
  • Manage database coding updates including corrections and new listings to ensure uniform coding across agencies giving the business as consistent a view as possible.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate / centralise business analytics freeing up marketing & commercial teams to focus on execution
  • Support adhoc projects and strategic business questions (working with Business Insight, Commercial Operations & Brand Teams)
  • Support and seek to lead upskilling of internal capability on continuous data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, Global Data, dunnhumby etc) e.g. training, software support and be the go-to person for questions
  • Build relationships with and partner continuous data agencies on above
  • Ensure Britvic is using the most efficient and reliable tools for reporting to improve productivity of the function

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong computer skills (advanced Excel & Powerpoint essential; knowledge of databases or research agency software packages desirable)
  • Highly analytical, with ability to synthesise information from multiple sources into key insights 
  • High numeracy skills 
  • Ability to work with large data 
  • Strong communicator – articulate, great presentation skills
  • Experience working in a business analysis or similar role is desirable
  • Experience / knowledge of quantitative research techniques is desirable
  • 3rd level degree in a business or related science discipline (IT, Statistics, Maths, Accountancy etc) is desirable
