The Value Stream Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, with a focus on OEE, for Continuous Improvement for the Kylemore site. You will engage the site teams to capture and replicate best practice, align activities and grow capability through application.
The role will utilise lean tools/principles to improve production systems and reduce waste (e.g. Standard work, Scientific Problem Solving, 5s, SMED, JIT, Kaizen and OEE).
You will use your subject matter expertise in SAP, OEE, and other relevant production related systems, to identify opportunities and implement operational excellence / continuous improvement projects throughout the value stream and wider business.
What we’re looking for in Value Stream Manager
- Subject Matter Expert in OEE is essential
- Experience working in an FMCG environment
- Must have ability to lead a project team and liaise with/manage key Customers.
- Experienced in a Leadership role managing a team
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE) and demonstrate use of same.
- Must have knowledge in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spread sheets.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performed.
- Must be able to work independently on own projects while working concurrently with all departments
- Demonstrate Continuous improvements successes
- Ability to cross between leading and coaching styles & flex approach according to the situation
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing and HSE process is required
- Proven track record of implementing best practice and new ways of working
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Experience in delivering change through building people capability
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Working knowledge of SAP & competent with MS Office, Word, Excel and Power point
Qualifications:
- Lean six sigma certification and experience delivering lean six sigma training
- Requires BS/BA in a scientific, engineering or business discipline experience; strong knowledge of continuous improvement approaches
