Marketing Manager - Ballygowan

About the role:
As the Marketing Manager you will lead outstanding strategy, planning and execution of our Ballygowan Water and Water Plus brand portfolio, driving brand awareness, market share, value creation and sustained profitable revenue growth. On a day to day basis you will be working with the Head of Brand Marketing to strategically develop the Water and Water Plus portfolio, delivering 3-5 year rolling brand roadmaps as part of the Britvic Stratplan and AOP process to deliver brand growth

 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Own the development of the Brand Vision, Purpose & Positioning for the brands comprising the portfolio
  2. Analyse market and category trends, making strategic decisions based on data and insight
  3. Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that are aligned with business objectives and goals across all channels, island of Ireland 
  4. Deliver core elements of the marketing mix including; portfolio planning, SKU management, ATL & BTL communications, NPD, Sponsorships, pricing strategy, brand architecture and ESG programmes
  5. Working with the RGM team to agree annual Pricing, Promotions & PPA Strategy 
  6. Working closely with the R&D and Supply Chain teams driving Project Management for Innovation or Renovation projects 
  7. Set the framework for execution of the Brand Strategies and Plans by delivering Channel Activation Look Books to achieve outstanding execution
  8. Establish strong relationships with the Commercial, Category and Shopper Marketing teams
  9. Commission Market Research where appropriate
  10. Use Scorecard, MIP, Market Tracking, F&D Tracking, Brand Health Tracking to monitor Brand performance and take corrective action as required to bring the performance back on track
  11. Maximise value from Third Party agencies
  12. Support our Sponsorship partners and build strong relationships 
  13. Control and manage the A&P spend versus budget, to ensure accurate spend allocation and phasing, delivering optimal return on investment
  14. Develop and manage a brand team member, providing coaching, performance metrics and feedback

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:

  1. Previous experience in Brand Marketing ideally within an FMCG industry
  2. A proven track record at delivering share and profit goals at Brand portfolio level
  3. Excellent analytical skills with strong knowledge of market trends and insights 
  4. Strong commercial orientation with distinctive communication and influencing skills 
  5. A creative mindset with experience in new product development and sponsorships 
  6. Strong agency management and people management experience
