About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager, on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. This key role will lead the development and implementation of the marketing and communication strategies for Ballygowan, Ballygowan Sparklingly Fruity, Ballygowan Activ+, Drench, Refresh’d & Energise Sport. Reporting to the Marketing Controller, the role provides the opportunity to develop, create and drive the implementation of marketing activities, both above and below the line, driving product renovation and innovation, brand contribution, market share and brand health targets across the Irish market (IOI – ROI & NI).

Key Responsibilities:

-Own and drive the 2020 Annual Operation Plan (AOP) Brand Planning process for the portfolio of brands.

-Own and deliver key projects that will enable the 2020 AOP to be delivered eg. NPD, SKU portfolio strategies, pricing/promotions, consumer communication and brand activation plans.

-Use Scorecard, MIP, Market Tracking, F&D Tracking, Brand Health Tracking to monitor the performance and take corrective action as required to bring the performance back on track.

-Collaborate with wider marketing team, Commercial, Field Sales, Category, Insight & Trade Marketing to develop and implement effective TTL marketing plans across all channels.

-Track total brand spend across Brand, Trade Marketing and Category and ensure on budget delivery on a period by period basis versus forecast.

-Lead third party agencies for Brand portfolio, including media strategy & planning, comms development and BTL activation.

-Ensure all brand activities are executed on time in full, monitoring results and effectiveness as set against agreed consumer and commercial objectives.

-Represent Britvic Ireland business at appropriate group meetings & lease with international colleagues.

-Lead, manage & coach a team of 1 direct report.

Other Responsibilities:

-Monitor brand portfolio performance versus plan – volume, value, ARP, Brand Contribution, market share.

-Provision of NPI Business Cases accurately and on-time.

-Performance against the Britvic DNA.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

-Experience as a Marketing Manager and within the Marketing sector 

-FMCG experience, with a good understanding of the market dynamics, customer base, product portfolio and competitors

-Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal influencing skills, with an ability to build relationships comfortably

-Pro-active, self-starter, with an ability to work as an individual and be equally effective as part of the Water & Water Plus team

-Innovation and creative strategic thinking

-Strong commercial orientation

-High level of IT proficiency, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

-Proven track record at leading and developing a team

-Leadership ability

Qualifications:

-Honours Degree in Business Discipline
