Job Overview
Join our team as an Automation & Cyber Security Specialist to lead the implementation and maintenance of secure industrial automation systems across Britvic Ireland. In this role, you will work closely with project delivery teams to integrate security during solution design, identify vulnerabilities within automation networks, and develop remedial actions. You'll provide expert technical support while ensuring compliance with cyber security standards. This position requires travel across Ireland locations with occasional international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and hands-on support for industrial automation systems, including developing and deploying program code for in-house modifications
- Implement and maintain the IEC62443 Cyber Security Management System, monitoring alerts from network and vulnerability scanning systems
- Lead technical implementation of digital manufacturing projects, including sensor installations and industrial network architecture design
- Collaborate with engineering teams and OEMs to address identified threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct forensic investigations when necessary and support annual penetration testing with external vendors
- Produce monthly system health reports and maintain disaster recovery strategies
- Participate in on-call rotation for OT support and incident resolution
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of industrial automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) with demonstrated programming experience
- Strong understanding of industrial and corporate networking technologies with embedded cyber security controls
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing environments with proven diagnostic capabilities
- Familiarity with condition-based monitoring and digital manufacturing technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required

Education/Qualifications
- Engineering discipline with strong technical qualifications supported by relevant engineering experience
- Cyber security qualification (IEC62443 or similar)
- Siemens Programming certifications (Simatic Manager/TIA Portal)
