This is a key role in our business to develop and implement supply chain strategies through scenario modelling and building tools and processes, taking a zero loss mentality to drive out inefficiencies in the supply chain, improve supply chain costs and service / availability performance metrics.

You’ll provide thought leadership in the planning projects (production and deployment planning), including system changes (SAP APO /SAP R3 / Siebel developments). Gain and share internal and external best practice.

You’ll have the ability to design and lead complex solutions across the supply chain and wider business and communicate these to the Irish Exec team. Review key trigger / data points across the supply chain, understanding what they drive and how to align them up in order to create the most efficient and effective plan from a cost / process / people perspective

Key Responsibilities:

•Analyse data and levers of cost and optimise demand and supply planning data flow

•Lead specific business projects to develop the processes or improve business performance. 

oInventory:  Development of Inventory model and robust reduction plan (annual target to be proposed and agreed with the demand and supply planning team)

oFunctional Skills: team development, using key users community

oCost consciousness: develop and review of area of cost reduction (logistics)

•Work with GB and Ireland operations optimization team to deploy supply chain strategies across the IE group

•Lead the Forward planning of production and  network capacity and optimise opportunities within the supply chain across multiple sites

•Identify, evaluate and implement strategies to achieve the optimal method of supplying the customer and improve on shelf availability whilst reducing distribution costs.

•Leadership role within Demand & Supply Planning department

•Foster a zero loss mentality supporting all activities to drive out costs, waste and inefficiencies.

•Implement ideas across the supply chain and embed Continuous improvement across supply chain and implement

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

•Advanced MS Office skills, Excel,

•High level of SAP (R3 / SNP / APO) expertise complete with an in-depth understanding of the Great Britain & Ireland Operations Business Processes is essential

•Network modelling tools e.g. CAST

•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers in a meaningful way to the business teams

•Excellent analytical skills, high level of financial analysis

•SC Degree / Apics preferred
