Job Overview

 

Britvic is seeking a dynamic and driven Quality Manager IOI to join our Food & Beverages team. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with operations teams to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards across both sites. You will lead QSE & Operational Improvement Projects, contribute to achieving targets, objectives, legislative requirements, franchise, and company standards, and deputize the role of QHSE Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Implement, maintain, and ensure compliance with Britvic's quality, food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies, standards, certifications, requirements, procedures, and legal compliance within operations teams.
  • Coordinate external and internal audit programs, maintain corrective action logs, and report on progress.
  • Formalize and document quality processes, coordinate quality programs, and manage non-conformances through quality processes.
  • Assess risks, validate and verify processes and equipment, maintain laboratory facilities, and support consumer/customer complaint resolution.
  • Provide coaching, training, and information to enable employees to deliver their safety, environmental, quality, and food safety roles competently.
  • Manage the team of Quality Coordinators, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive working culture.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement and operational optimization projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 

Requirements

 

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in quality, food safety, microbiology, safety, or environmental roles, preferably in an FMCG environment with a good understanding of production processes and packaging.
  • Operations and project management experience, including implementing QSE processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO/OHSAS/FSSC/Good Practice Standards and relevant food and water legislation.
  • Analytical quality skills ideally related to soft drinks
  • Knowledge of all relevant areas of food and water legislation and related microbiological issues
  • Effective communication with external agencies, trading standards, and auditing bodies
  • Incident investigation through the use of continuous improvement tools for root cause and prevention
  • Experience working within continuous improvement programs relating to QSE

Qualifications

 

  • Third-level education in food science, manufacturing, quality, or a related discipline is required.
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Internal auditor qualification
  • HACCP qualification
  • Competency in health, safety, and environment requirements for manufacturing
