About the Role:

  • This role is at the heart of Supply Chain Operations function within the BU and will be close to the day to day operational activity and really challenge and support our Operations Management.
  • To provide the leadership & vision to give leading edge Financial support that can deliver financial improvements and control enhancements to the current operation and play a leading role in challenging and supporting the Ireland Operations organisation.
  • The remit will incorporate
  • Production – Sites in Dublin and Newcastle West, Limerick
  • Logistics/Distribution – Dublin
  • Procurement – Dublin & GB
  • Engaging and collaborating with Group Supply Chain Finance function will be an important part of the role and will be key to achieving your objectives.
  • It will be critical to understand and analyse the end to end Operations and given the requirement for continued margin enhancement identify real opportunities for improvement.
  • To ensure that all financial and business critical information is communicated in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, allowing the business to maximise financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Delivering the plan

  • Work with Operations teams to develop coherent, value adding strategies that drive cost reduction and efficiency opportunities for the Business.
  • Liaise closely with Group Supply Chain Finance to fully utilise all available financial information
  • Review and assess current plans to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Act as key contributor to the various planning and forecasting processes (Strategic Plan, Budget, Forecasts) as appropriate while working in parallel with Group Finance functions

 

Enabling

  • Provide insight to Operations Management through simple, accurate and consistent reporting
  • Own the SC P&L commentary, periodic risks and opportunities, financial plan and forecasts for the Ireland Operations Function.
  • Drive financial awareness and capability into the functional teams.

 

Productivity

  • Work with Operations management to review and assess current Operations strategy
  • Drive a strategic agenda to reduce cost per case across manufacturing & distribution base, and to implement reporting processes to drive insight and identify opportunities
  • Responsible for completion of all Capex approval requests

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years PQE, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have relevant FMCG experience.
  • Must have Operations experience and can demonstrate a successful track record of Business Partnering with an Operations teams.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • Team player, with the drive and interpersonal skills necessary to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills, ability to deliver financial data in a user friendly and relevant manner.
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking.
  • Driven to create positive change, willing to take risks.
  • Experience in working in a SAP environment
