About the Role:
Optimise capacity & inventory across the Britvic Ireland network to deliver optimised customer service levels  =/>98.5% Support the development and lead the implementation of integration between Supply Chain & Commercial 
Enable Supply Chain management teams to deliver operations efficiencies and performance, whilst engaging with Customer Logistics and commercial management to drive forecast accuracy and maximise volume sales.
Engage with Procurement, Brands and Technical to ensure supplier and innovation activities are delivered to maximum effectiveness.
Lead and develop planning teams in the execution of short- term production plans to support product supply.
Key KPI delivery –Customer Service, Inventory and Cost Management


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medium and long-term strategy group manufacturing capacity planning ensuring stakeholder involvement through S&OP to drive plan accuracy, stability, product availability and sales (ownership of stock allocation decision making and overlay process)
  2. Lead and Develop the Supply planning team, ensuring they provide accurate planning schedules and material availability to support effective production execution, managing risks and opportunities linked to their areas of responsibility.
  3. Manage the provision of accurate manufacturing and scheduling data to minimise plan exceptions, drive product availability whilst optimising DIO and minimising waste.
  4. Management of short-term material sourcing through supplier liaison ensuring optimum availability delivery and minimise waste.
  5. Planning and execution of necessary Supply plans from 3rd party providers as required to maintain product availability.
  6. Support development and ensure delivery of production planning principles and processes - stock model, SNP, PPDS, MRP, master data, supply planning reporting, sub-contracting and strategic planning, managing use and adherence.
  7. Delivery of key KPI’s
  8. Costs, link into the ongoing review of network optimisation - support the management of warehousing and transport efficiencies.
  9. Inventory reduction(optimisation) (raw materials and finished goods), balance competing interests and determine the right rules (guidance) across lines and products. 
  10. Customer service (product availability)
  11. People development, ensure we have the right structures, culture and skills in the planning teams to support optimised product supply.
  12. Management of key stakeholders in Supply Chain and wider business functions, representing supply planning to ensure alignment for any changes planned linked to the improvement of processes and delivery of KPI’s.
  13. Lead NPD and Innovation tasks within the Demand and Supply Planning department engaging with other Britvic functions to ensure effective project execution.
  14. Embed Company Purpose, Vision, Values and Behaviours aligned to driving a 'one Britvic' way of operating where all employees play in position but understand the total goal of the organisation.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Technical supply planning skills and experience is essential, including planning philosophy, stock model, SAP (R/3, APO, SNP, PPDS, Master Data), MRP, supply planning reporting and sub-contracting.
  2. End-to-end supply chain planning and processes is essential.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and plant capability factors, as well as broader logistics understanding from a Cost-to-Serve perspective.
  4. Ability to engage and influence suppliers and a broad understanding of procurement processes, e.g. SRM
  5. Awareness of brand and innovation processes is desirable as well as basic knowledge of financial P&L
  6. Leadership, people management and coaching skills are essential.
  7. Analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and including trending and insight analysis are essential.
  8. Stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential.
  9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers in a meaningful way to the business teams.
  10. MS Office skills, including Excel

 

Qualifications:

  1. Business related qualification or similar.is desirable but not essential 
  2. APICS accredited
  3. Business or Supply Chain Degree or equivalent desirable
