About the Role

Counterpoint Ireland has a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a six month maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager the position holder will be responsible for a number of key areas including managing a portfolio of suppliers, posting invoices and providing cover for cash/bank and other area’s when required.


Key Responsibilities:

-Managing a large portfolio of supplier accounts in two entity’s- invoice posting, supplier account reconciliation, resolving queries, managing the AP inbox and cash forecasting

-Processing monthly payment run and manual payments throughout the month

-Managing GRNI for large portfolio of suppliers

-Processing employee’s monthly expenses in agreed time frame

-Processing group and external recharges

-Full management of our Lease Plan/Lease Plan Go account

-Assisting with cash and bank and providing cover when required

-Assisting Management Accountant with month end journals 

-Working closely with Finance Manger during annual audit process

-Ad hoc duties as requested


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

-2+years working in a similar Accounts Payable role in a fast paced environment however full training will be provided.

-FMCG experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

-An enthusiastic, motivated person who can cope under pressure.

-Diligent with a high degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.

-Hard working, flexible and a team player.

-Good ERP and IT skills required.

-Ability to prioritise and focus on key tasks, taking ownership and follow through to deliver results.



-Educated to Leaving Certificate Standard or equivalent.
