About the Role:
•    To provide support for all Britvic site’s automation systems as and when required. This will require the applicant to be prepared to travel to any Britvic site as and when needed (within reason).

•    To assist with new and upgrade automation projects at all Britvic manufacturing sites.

•    To develop, test and deploy PLC program code to facilitate in house modifications to automation systems.

•    To support the site operational teams to deliver best practise for the support of automation systems, including resolution of recurring issues and maintaining disaster recovery software backups.

•    Ensure that Britvic automation strategy is implemented, providing assistance where required to aid with compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Contribute to the development of the group automation vision and strategic plan 
•    Develop automation training, skills and knowledge, promoting a professional team culture across Britvic manufacturing site’s.
•    To be a primary member of the automation issue resolution team, including call out when the situation requires.
•    Be proactive in implementing continuous improvement with regard to line operating practices and equipment.
•    Assist with root cause analysis on all equipment failures as specified, establish and implement appropriate next steps to prevent recurrence and communicate the results appropriately.
•    Assist with the development of “User Requirement Specifications” for future automation system modifications.
•    Lease with site Engineering Specialists to ensure that the defined group automation teams’ requirements are implemented and maintained.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
•    Expert knowledge of industrial automation systems supplied by multiple vendors.
•    Expert knowledge of FMCG machinery diagnostics.
•    demonstrate a hands-on/can-do attitude.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication are essential

Qualifications:
•    Engineering disciplined with Strong Technical Qualifications / supported with relevant engineering experience
