Key to the success of our brands is a world class commercial team and we are now looking for a Sales Controller to take on one of our largest retail account within our commercial part of the business.

As the Sales Controller you will be responsible for leading the development of our Discounters account portfolio and to be the primary interface responsible for managing the negotiation, development and execution of customer specific strategic and tactical plans to deliver company volume, revenue and profit targets. You will also be accountable for inspiring and motivating internal teams and external customers to flawlessly execute our commercial propositions.

You will be expected to build customer specific strategic plans and work collaboratively with the Planning & Execution teams to ensure that each customer has an individual annual plan that delivers against channel commercial goals and strategic direction. You will also be responsible for building outlet-level execution plans and work collaboratively with customers to negotiate delivery of the plan and be responsible for working with the Customer Logistics teams to ensure accurate forecasting of customer volumes.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience of working within a Food & Beverage FMCG for a large retail customer
  • Compelling, inspirational communicator, with the ability to lead from the front
  • Able to envisage a desirable future trading situation for each customer, in line with account prioritisation, and construct a clear plan to achieve this
  • Strong commercial acumen to enable development of powerful Britvic commercial propositions which can be developed into account plans & implementable in outlet execution plans.
  • Understanding and confidence with P&L management and with management of both volume and profit forecasting processes
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrable people management capability – the ability to demonstrate some experience of strong line management, coaching and people development capability
