About the Role: 12 Month FTC (This is not a Placement year)

We are currently seeking six individuals to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract as Business Analysts. The successful candidates will work with various business functions such as Finance, HR, Commercial, or Supply Chain to analyze requirements and deliver data analytics, reporting, and functional change solutions that align with the functional roadmap and deliver business value. You will have the opportunity to work in one of the following areas after your initial induction:

  1. Data & Analytics
  2. IT Strategy & Delivery
  3. Business Transformation

 

In the first four weeks, you will undergo an induction process that will provide you with an understanding of Britvic's business, your role within the organization, and training on specific skills required. After the induction phase, you will have a two-way discussion to determine which of the three analyst role types best suit your skills and interests for the remaining 11 months.

 

Although we cannot guarantee a full-time position after the 12-month period, we hope to provide you with valuable experience to secure a job in IT. We are committed to placing successful candidates into meaningful roles within Britvic where possible.

 

We will be holding an assesment centre for invited candidates at our offices in Hemel Hempstead.

 

Knowledge, skills & experience that can be developed during the placement:

  1. Ability to use and probably become more proficient with Microsoft office tools
  2. Ability to acquire business analysis or project management skills
  3. Communication and presentation skills
  4. Understanding of how technology and business process supports an End user organisation 
  5. Understanding of basic FMCG functions and business processes

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Has confidence and credibility within the business  
  2. Builds and maintains networks within the relevant function to promote the existing and future solutions
  3. Takes ownership – to deliver to deadlines and for the resolution of issues
  4. Facilitate requirement gathering workshops to understand business requirements
  5. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  6. Filter and “clean” data by reviewing existing reports and business performance indicators to locate and correct any data discrepancies
  7. Working in virtual teams across business functions, IT and 3rd party suppliers to understand the significance of business KPIs and data elements and propose and enable solutions to improve decision making within the business 
  8. Involvement the project delivery process, ensuring reporting needs are met for the business and aligned to IT standards.
  9. Create and review documentation including specifications, testing approach and creation of end user documentation to support delivered technology solutions in a timely manner.
  10. Assist the unit test of solutions & provide support and expertise through Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT).
  11. Use knowledge and insights to proactively seek innovative ideas/products to support project success. 
  12. Evaluate and deliver requests from the business for improvements to existing processes to drive efficiency and value.
  13. Actively participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Degree level / working towards or equivalent in IT related subject or data - Preferred but not essential
  2. Appreciation and understanding of how businesses can leverage technology, process, and data 
  3. Hands-on experience with Excel and comfortable with Microsoft technologies
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  5. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings in business friendly terms
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops, ask relevant questions, and be an attentive listener
  7. Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders within the business and technology.
  8. Able to proactively plan and prioritise workload.
