About the Role:


  • The purpose of the BI Data Analyst is to gather, analyse and turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions leveraging Microsoft and SAP technologies.
  • The role will stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to help develop a picture of where the business can improve and reduce costs.
  • The role holder will work with key stakeholders across the business to understand various internal and external data sources that exists and the insights that are driven out of them.
  • The role sits in the IT Delivery team and will work closely with Architecture


Key Responsibilities:


  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing existing reports and business performance indicators to locate and correct any data discrepancies
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new Data process improvement opportunities by working with key business stakeholders
  • Create/Support solution blueprinting that encompasses ETL design, data models with business logic to support the visualisation needs to meet the business requirements on a given project or programme.
  • Supporting and driving out business requirements gathering/analysis workshops on need basis to drive out BI needs
  • Providing thought leadership on modernising analytics environments leveraging big data technologies, including integration with existing data and analytics platforms
  • Contribute to short-term & long-term strategic direction of the Analytics & Insights capability within Britvic
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects from functional towers to understand the significance of business KPIs and data elements and propose solutions to improve decision making within the business
  • Partner with Tier 1/Tier 2 Vendors effectively to drive appropriate solutions to meet different market needs 


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:



Experience Required:

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong hand-on experience with Excel models, Power BI and comfortable with Microsoft technologies
  • Knowledge and experience of working with SAP ERP datasets
  • Familiarity with reporting toolsets e.g. Tableau, Qlik, SAP BO and SAC etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Math skills
  • Strong at queries, report writing and presenting findings in business friendly terms




  • Strong analytical thinking with business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements to robust logical data modesls and KPI catalogues
  • Ability to translate technical information to non-technical indviduals is essential, as well as the ability to present this to a range of audiences in a clear, concise and appropriate manner;
  • Innovation & appetite to learn and up to date with latest technology/tools and trends e.g. RPA, Big data, AI
  • Keen and Passionate about data and the power of data in generating business insights
  • Stakeholder Management skills




  • Microsoft or SAP Accreditations in the space of Analytics, BI, Data
  • Degree or equivalent in computer science
