Category Executive - Grocery 
From Pepsi to Tango, J2O to Robinsons, Britvic's brands have all become truly household names. Key to the success of our brands is a world class commercial team and we are now looking for a Category Executive to support on one of our established accounts within our commercial part of the business.
This role is for 18 months covering a secondment.
The Category Executive will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships, leading their category thinking and strategy. Working alongside the Category Manager, they will be working to deliver execution in outlet against our market maps and expectations for distribution, range, space and rate of sale driving propositions. This will drive category growth for our customers, gain disproportionate advantage for our brands, and grow shareholder value and enhance Britvic’s reputation.
On a day to day basis you will lead creation of the category roadmap for allocated customer and identify key actions to execute. You will execute strategies to maximise range, primary space, location, availability and macro space incorporating all category growth levers including off-fixture space, P&P solutions, equipment plans, online solutions and retail format development in line with our POP ambition. You will also provide input to the creation of distribution, range and space targets by customer that deliver against market maps and regularly measure progress against these as well as leading the development of category selling stories and tailor them for your customer, incorporating customer level shopper / consumer insight. 
We are looking for applicants with a commercial background within an FMCG environment. We would expect successful candidates to have the ability to ‘own it’. At Britvic we take accountability for decisions we make. We say what we mean and we do what we say. Practical experience of category management and/ or managing customer relationships would be desired but not essential.
What we’re looking for in a Category Executive: 

  • Strong communicator (written & presented) with good facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrable capability of applying category management thinking
  • Basic understanding of category management principles
  • Knowledge of external market information (Nielsen / Kantar / IRI)
  • Use of Pro Space (or equivalent space management tools)
  • Strong organisation & time management skills to manage multiple projects to deadlines
