Key to the success of our brands is a world class commercial team and we are now looking for a Category Strategy Manager to support both our At Home and Out of Home Channels within the business.


The Category Strategy Manager role is pivotal to the delivery our 2025 vision.   

To realise our vision to be ‘the most dynamic, creative and trusted soft drinks company in the world’, it is essential we have an in-depth understanding of the soft drinks category, so that we can create sustainable strategies for growth, that disproportionately deliver for Britvic, but also grow soft drinks for our diverse range of customers.   

The Category Strategy Manager will be responsible for being the expert in the following soft drinks segments: Cola, Flavoured Carbs, Lemonade, Stimulants, Adult and Mixers, in order to maximise performance across our brands; Cola (Pepsi), Flavoured Carbs (Tango, 7Up, Mountain Dew), Lemonade (R Whites), Stimulants (Rockstar), Adult (J2O) and Mixers (Britvic Mixers and Juices, The London Essence Company).  Using this knowledge of how the segment is performing today and with additional market, consumer and shopper insight, they will identify clear and inspiring growth drivers to help unlock long term growth for our brands. 

In addition to identifying drivers of long term, sustainable growth, the Category Strategy Manager will, with support of the Category Strategy Executive, ensure our “strategy flows through to shelf”, by influencing transformational category focused point of purchase (POP) initiatives, so that our core brand plans and future NPD are designed to realise the identified growth opportunities within soft drinks.  You will also play a key role in creating and maintaining compelling category selling stories that provide context to our brands’ role in driving growth for our retail customers.    


The successful candidate will be great at stakeholder management, balancing priorities effectively and ensuring that the work delivered by this central function is socialised across a wide set of stakeholders in order to impact our future plans and drive a commercial benefit for Britvic.  They will also be able to talk confidently about the latest consumer and shopper trends, the missions and occasions within which soft drinks segments are purchased and consumed, together with keeping up to date on the ever-changing competitor landscape.
