Consumer Insight Manager
As the Consumer Insight Manager working across our ‘Adult Socialising’ portfolio (J2O, The London Essence Company, Britvic Mixers & Juices & Mathieu Teisseire), you will partner with the GB & Global marketing teams to drive strategic change, help guide the execution of effective marketing activity and be part of the ongoing commercial success of the business. You will be doing this through the delivery of compelling consumer, category & shopper insights which drive business decision making.
Working within the GB Consumer Insight team you will report to the Senior Consumer Insight Manager for Socialising & Global Premium Adult (GPA) brands.
As well as helping shape the insights agenda on our ‘Adult Socialising’ brands you will also partner with other members of the Insight team in delivering key initiatives across the wider Britvic portfolio of brands.
Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will your comfort in working with a wide range of stakeholders and teams and working in an autonomous way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic thought-partner to marketing and the wider business to ensure that the objective voice of the consumer is considered in key business discussions and decisions
  • Work with the Senior Consumer Insight Manager and marketing team to shape the three year strategic plan and annual operating plan based on genuine consumer and shopper insight – ensuring plans reflect key consumer, shopper & market opportunities and that Britvic is targeting the most valuable growth spaces
  • Understand brand and competitor performance through selecting, synthesising & interpreting a variety of data sources and delivering simple, timely communication of issues & opportunities (with key implications) to the Brand & Senior Management teams
  • Define the insight gaps and research needs to deliver against our strategic priorities and drive growth for our brands, and proactively plan how to address these.
  • Partner with the marketing teams to measure and evaluate key activities post-launch, to determine their effectiveness and efficiency in-market and apply the learnings to optimise future plans.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
This role is likely to best suit someone with a minimum of 4-5 years research experience, gained across agency and client side roles, who is now looking for a bit more autonomy and leadership within a varied and fast paced environment

  • Commercial experience working in a Consumer Insight/Research environment, preferably with client side fmcg experience
  • Proven experience of key ad-hoc qual and quant research techniques for generating powerful insights, building consumer-driven brand strategy and developing effective brand activity, including innovation development from opportunity identification through to launch evaluation
  • Understanding of the principles of the consumer marketing and value of brands
  • Competence in the application of core continuous insight sources (eg Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, CGA, brand tracking) to identify key issues and opportunities

Strong analytical skills – ability to triangulate multiple sources of information & to distil this into simple, compelling and actionable consumer insights which then lead to actionable reccomendations.
This is an exciting, fast paced role within a great team that will give you the opportunity to enhance your strategic thinking and shape the future of an iconic area in soft drinks. In return, we can offer you a rewarding role with the opportunity to lead change, working with talented individuals in a vibrant business, combined with a strong package and excellent benefits.

We believe we are stronger together and that’s why we’re committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and employees. We know that by building a truly inclusive environment where everyone feels celebrated, safe and respected - diversity and wellbeing will naturally thrive
