We have operations in Great Britain, Ireland, France & Brazil and have been taking our brands around the world, exporting to over 50 countries and working with carefully chosen partners to franchise our brands. 
This role is based out of Both Hemel Hempstead and Bishops Stortford with Hybrid working. 
About the Role:

Following the acquisition of The Boiling Tap Company (now Aqua Libra Company, ALCO), this role will be responsible for supporting the robust accounting and financial information within the Business Unit and to the Group Reporting team

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
  • Periodic Management Reporting, ensuring timely and accurate month end close 

  • Reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance insight generation 

  • Providing team support and cover where needed

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement to encourage greater efficiency and control. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Periodic management reporting:

  • Ownership of the ALCo Management Information Packs (MIP) and disclosure packs, ensuring they are delivered on time and in full to Britvic plc

  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly outlook and R&O process for P&L and Cashflow


Audit and Control:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts 

  • Liaising with external auditors to provide information required for statutory audits  

  • Support internal audit queries

  • Maintenance of general ledger records to a high standard including journals & balance sheet reconciliations. 

  • Play an active role in embedding key Britvic financial control principles, policies and governance into ALCO at the appropriate level for a small, entrepreneurial business

  • Guide continuous improvement activities in our reporting and planning processes


Creating a great environment

  • Consistently role model Britvic’s values

  • Support team action plan for Great Place to Work to continuously improve the team working environment

  • Work closely with the ALCo FD and Finance Assistant 

  • Support personal & professional development of the Finance Assistant 

  • Cover and support for the Head of Finance as required


Other support as required to deliver business objectives, including

  • Support the management of cash within ALCO, with particular focus on receivables, working capital and stock

  • Support investment cases and business models for BTB (Beyond the Bottle) 

  • Support business integration plan 


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in Xero accounting system
    Understanding of financial and accounting principles 

  • Desire and mindset to work in a small, start-up environment which will involve a significant amount of hands on work 

  • Good attention to detail 

  • A proactive individual who will take initiative and raise questions when faced with uncertainty 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality output in a fast paced environment 

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Managing stakeholder expectations around key deliverables 

  • Ability to drive change rather than managing the status quo

  • Excellent stakeholder management & influencing skills
