Functional Consultant - Supply Chain

In the UK we employ over 1,600 people and have 3 factories, 3 office locations and a national distribution centre. Over the last few years, we have installed 10 new production lines, a combined heat and power plant (CHP), as well as providing infrastructure for further expansion. 

 

About the Role:

  • An IT Supply Chain Functional Consultant and Business Analyst with a focus on Warehouse Management and Order Management including EDI
  • The role requires a wide knowledge of SAP Modules including WM, EWM, and other supply chain modules including SD, EDI, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement.
  • You will need to deliver and support small changes through to transformational projects, concept to transition into service.
  • Facilitation of workshops to hands on technical configuration being the subject matter expert in the SAP warehouse management and processing customer orders.
  • The role holder will work with key stakeholders through the project delivery process to ensure technical solutions are delivered that meet requirements and are embedded into the Supply Chain function as usual operation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Management - Build an understanding of the key business processes and build strong business partnerships
  • Conduct Requirements Gathering - Plan and execute analysis and workshops to understand Business Requirements and the IT Deliverables. 
  • Design - Produce Solution Design that meet the business requirements and compliment Britvic processes.
  • Configuration - Hands on configuration of SAP to bring designs to life and working with 3rd parties to deliver IT solutions
  • Documentation - Prepare and update the necessary reference documentation and handover documentation for the Britvic IT service desk transition.
  • Delivery - Work individually or part of a team, from internal teams to third parties to deliver solutions.
  • Training - Provide cross training to other consultants.
  • Support - Provide third line support as required for resolution of critical issues.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Has confidence and credibility within the business and be seen as a Subject Matter Expert within Supply Chain solutions.
  • Must demonstrate detailed expertise in dealing with both standalone and Integration systems
  • Work closely with the Solutions architects to scope, design and agree technical solutions
  • Build and maintain networks within the Supply Chain department and IT Team
  • Provides thought leadership to shape future direction within the core functional area
  • Takes ownership – to deliver designs and solutions to deadlines and for the resolution of issues.


Enabling delivery

  • Facilitate workshops to define business solution design and technical architecture
  • Make suggestions on areas for process improvements within Supply Chain and IT
  • Working in virtual teams across business functions, IT and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Adhere to the project delivery processes, ensuring any new solutions meet our business requirements and Architecture Principles.
  • Create/Review documentation like technical requirements and specifications, testing approach, end user support and adoption to ensure delivery of IT solutions in a timely manner.
  • Delivers the build and unit test of the solution & provides support through SIT and UAT
  • Manages delivery through 3rd party providing quality assurance and business knowledge
  • Assist the unit test of solutions & provide support and expertise through Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Test (UAT), Performance Testing (PT) and Operational Acceptance testing (OAT).
  • Use knowledge and insight to proactively seek innovative technical ideas/products to support project and portfolio success.
  • Actively participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions for new IT solutions.


Knowledge Management

  • To build knowledge of existing solutions and processes for consideration in new designs.
  • Own the creation of high level and detailed design documents for assigned Supply Chain projects.
  • Actively build knowledge of industry good practice to identify opportunities to drive future business value.


Qualifications:

  • Degree level / working towards or equivalent in IT related subject (preferred)
  • Supply Chain Experience essential
  • Accreditations - Desirable
  • Certified SAP WM/EWM Consultant
