HR Technology Specialist - 18 months Fixed Term Contract 

About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to support in the delivery of key projects on our HR technology roadmap for 2021/22. This includes providing specialist support on our payroll period change project and the design elements of our payroll platform upgrade project.  This role will support on elements such as process mapping and managing UAT end to end.  In addition, this role will also provide support on various BAU activities, including reporting, replication management and system testing.

The successful candidate will work across the various HR teams and other key stakeholders in IT and therefore will need to be able to develop strong working relationships to enable project benefits. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has an eye for detail, an analytical mind and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of the shaping and design phase of the Payroll platform upgrade project, map and document the ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ end to end payroll processes in conjunction with the Global Payroll Manager
  • Managing the test phase of the Payroll period change project, which includes mapping payroll scenarios, writing test scripts, guiding the UAT community and managing system fixes for any defects
  • As part of the stabilisation phase of the Payroll period change project, ensure that any knowledge transfer to the team is carried out and that any work instructions and documentation are updated
  • Provide support in reporting and analytics activity which would include actioning any standard and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Help shape best practice approach to testing which would involve working with system administrators to develop robust test practices and test packs
  • Support with carrying out testing for the half yearly release cycles of SuccessFactors and ad hoc enhancements.
  • Provide support in resolving replication errors and queries
  • Provide support and cover to other HR Technology team members with BAU systems activities as required

Requirements 

Essential:

  • Proven experience with HR Systems and Process Mapping
  • Experience with system testing and UAT
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proven analytical skills - essential for analysing incidents and root cause analysis
  • A self starter with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Team player
  • Collaborative
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Desirable:

  • Understanding of our key business applications (SuccessFactors, SAP, ADP - Payroll)
  • Experience of reporting
  • Experience of working in a HR function / Background in HR
