We have operations in Great Britain, Ireland, France & Brazil and have been taking our brands around the world, expoting to over 50 countries and working with carefully chosen partners to franchise our brands. 
About the Role:
As a Tax and Treasury team we create value by driving effective tax strategies, maintaining high standards of compliance and reporting.  We work as a trusted advisor to support business change and our ambitious growth plans.
This role leads on all direct taxes across our international footprint so that we uphold and maintain high standards.  As a subject matter expert, you will lead on key initiatives to optimise our ways of working and be a trusted advisor to our senior leaders and finance teams to support our ambition and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and management of Britvic's direct taxes approach with accountability for the Group’s compliance across our international footprint (e.g. UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, US and Singapore)
  • Lead and own the Group’s transfer pricing policy, making sure policy adoption, and reporting meet changing standards, including royalties and head office service fees/recharges 
  • Deliver our external financial reporting obligations (half year and year-end) in line with our audit processes
  • Provide insight, support, and advice in relation to business change and projects including M&A
  • Make sure we have appropriate processes, controls and risks identified that are tested, audited, and reported
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to simplify processes and ways of working that drive efficiency, effectiveness and making sure we remain compliant to evolving tax regulations in all our jurisdictions
  • Manage the risk and control framework for direct tax including Risk Register, Britvic Control Framework and Senior Accounting Officer
  • Lead on tax audits relating to our direct tax and transfer pricing policies and updating the Tax Risk Committee quarterly
  • Oversee Permanent Establishment compliance, Country by Country reporting, CFC etc.
  • Lead and develop a team of 2 direct reports
  • Maintain a strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. auditors, advisors, tax authorities and internal colleagues)
Experience Required:
  • Significant tax experience in relevant areas
  • Experience of tax software preferable (e.g. OneSource or other)
  • Background working in a similar professional environment (practice and/or industry)
  • Experience of liaising with and managing relationships with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors and developing teams
  • A good communicator and able to articulate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals
