Key to the success of our brands is a world class marketing team and we are now looking for a Head of Marketing Data & Analytics to develop the Data and Analytics Strategy needed to drive Marketing Effectiveness and Digital Advancement for the organization.


You’ll act as consultant to brand leaders looking for expert advice and thought leadership, in the areas of Data Strategy, KPI Standardization and Measurement Recommendations. In addition you will be the hands on data and analytics support, including but not limited to data aggregation, ensuring reporting best practices, and KPI optimization. You will be the voice of data, elevating its role within Britvic to ensure our brands excel in marketing channels and that we can map it back to business results.

You will sit within the Consumer Experience Hub, who lead best practice in Marketing Capability, Media, Digital and PR, reporting to the Consumer Experience Director.


Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Development of Measurement Strategy and Methodology needed to ensure our Marketing efforts map back to concrete Business Results
  • Support in the development of the Marketing Data Strategy that will inform Consumer Insights needs, how we leverage data within our executions and our measurement strategies
  • Work with consumer insight planners, business insight, commercial teams, agencies and third parties to access additional data sources available in Britvic and increase scalability and consistency of insight gathering
  • Evolve Data and Analytics Visibility to allow for more real (or near) time decision making, supporting brand teams and content managers with the knowledge on how to use the analytics
  • Use data to report and evaluate our activities across the consumer experience
  • Facilitate consumer journey mapping exercises by working with insight, e comm and consumer experience team and help brands to organize the output into actionable tasks
  • Input into media evaluation so that we recommend most efficient media channels to brand teams for their campaigns
  • Support in the development of the MarTech Strategy
  • Development of Taxonomy for Data Tracking and Ownership across Internal and External Platforms
  • Maintain our suite of digital dashboards and own the further development of them, collaborating with the IT team to implement
  • Run monthly digital reporting for brand ‘always on’ activity, partnering with the relevant social content manager to pull insight and provide actionable recommendations
  • Provide ad hoc digital reports for brand leads as necessary
  • Troubleshoot issues with dashboards and/or reports and work with IT team to resolve
  • Lead analytics up-skilling programme, helping to ensure brand teams and the social content managers are able to access and use the dashboards and interpret insights from reports

What we’re looking for in a Head of Marketing Data & Analytics: 

  • Understanding of overall Data and MarTech Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Proven track record working with digital data, carrying out reporting and research for a consumer brand (ideally FMCG, either in-house or from a digital/social agency)
  • Experience pulling useful and valuable insight from vast sets of data from across a business and being able to interpret that data into actionable recommendations
  • Solid understanding of the world of Marketing, across all execution channels and the audiences that use these platforms
  • Understanding of UX and UE practices as well as SEO and eComm performance and how these can inform insight
  • Experience using dashboarding and data solutions such as Supermetrics, SAP, Datorama etc.
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills – able to bring data to life with clean and streamlined  reporting and story telling that can speak to people at all levels of technical understanding
  • Experience pulling insight from digital sources such as Facebook Ad Manager, Facebook Audience Insights, Google Analytics, Google Trends, Google Keyword Planner
  • Experience pulling data from external APIs or third party sources
