About the Role:

A hugely exciting opportunity to join Britvic’s biggest brand – Robinsons.

Flavour Concentrate is at the heart of our business. There are over 44 billion water occasions in GB and we are currently flavouring less than 10% of these. We have big growth ambitions for Robinsons to flavour billions more water occasions and as Robinsons Communications & Strategy Controller, you will have a pivotal role in delivering this ambition.

This will require a clear and aligned communications strategy and roadmap for implementation. World class communication assets are at the heart of realising our ambition. You will work closely with the Robinsons & Fruit Shoot Brand Director to develop and align the strategy with stakeholders across GB and PLC. You will also work closely with the central Consumer Experience team to step change the brand’s digital marketing capability and end to end consumer experience journey.

As well communications, the role will also be responsible for supporting the Brand Director in developing the long term strategic roadmap for the brand and winning innovation pipeline.

Robinsons has enjoyed a period of unrivalled success in the last number of years with the launch of Fruit Creations and Cordials dilutes, and Refresh’d ready-to-drink. We have driven penetration, taken share and made a significant impact on the category. Performance through the COVID crisis has been stellar and the task at hand is to leverage this strong momentum and increased consumer preference to take us to the next level.

Key Accountabilities:

Inspire and Lead the Team:

Provide inspiration and be a vocal leader with key stakeholders across the business

Champion world class communications and digital transformation

Nurture and manage agency relationships to unlock brilliant outcomes

Develop strong working relationships across the GB and PLC Britvic teams

Coach and develop one direct report - Community Manager Robs, Fruit Shoot and Tango

Brand leadership across key comms, strategy and innovation forums

Lead Creation of World Class Creative Assets, based on Insight:

Lead the insight, planning and development of breakthrough communications across the Robinsons brand

Step change our understanding and use of digital marketing with the right thinking and deploying the right assets

Identify, Develop and Own the Growth Strategy and innovation:

Help develop the Flavouring Billions of Water Occasions vision, strategy, brand architecture and innovation funnel, with a clear roadmap for implementation

Collaborate with the PLC FBWO Director to develop future facing interventions to step change our collective path to Flavouring Billions more Water Occasions

Develop a robust and scale Innovation funnel

Ensure plans are joined up cross functionally (within GB) and with the PLC team to deliver breakthrough growth


Experience Required:

Proven track record of developing inspiring and compelling strategies to deliver step change performance

Proven track record of developing world class communication and assets, taking ideas and translating them across all communication channels, understanding strength of digital channels, when and how to use them.

Evidence of strong strategic thinking - a track record of generating new ideas/concepts that challenge traditional frontiers of thought.

Proven marketing track record, including strategic analysis, brand positioning, communications, sponsorship, advertising campaign development and media planning.

Strong understanding of marketing research and analysis and its uses and applications in decision making.

Excellent track record of managing agencies to deliver effective TTL communication campaigns

Proven track record in collaborative leadership and working in a matrix organisation, building strong relationships across businesses
