We are looking for a Sustainable Procurement Analyst to join our fantastic Procurement team. The role will report to the Head of Supplier Sustainability and you will be working across the procurement department to ensure that we deliver our sustainable sourcing strategy to both the business and procurement function. You will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Category Management team on sustainability and other procurement initiative. You will need to be adept with procurement related technologies

 

This role will report into the Head of Supplier Sustainability which works across the procurement department to ensure we deliver our sustainable sourcing strategy to both the business and the procurement function. The role will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Category Management team on sustainability and other procurement initiatives. Work will require the use of SAP, procurement related technologies and sustainable assessment tools.

This role is new and you will be one of the first team players to join this team. We are keen to meet individuals who can identify with our strategy, purpose , values and vision. You will need be a self starter and also be willing to work with ambiguity so a strong degree of discipline is required for this role.

 What will you be doing?

You will be using both internal and external tools to map out our supply chains from ‘farm to fork’. By working alongside our Category Managers you will assess the risk on our supply chain for sustainable agriculture and water risks initially and also manage the supplier onboarding and approval for tender process for sustainability. You will be expected to provide analytical data and support to our Category Management team in particularly for major sourcing events  and provide your insight and analysis to support governance of our processes in relation to sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide data analysis and reporting to the Category Management team 

•    Responsible for managing sustainability resources in the category management platform and supporting Category Managers with use of these tools

•    Report out and review procurements key sustainability metrics

•    Track progress of sustainability goals and projects

•    Provide analytical support and data

•    Provide cross-functional support in relation to wider sustainability business reporting including Scope 3 greenhouse gas reporting

 

Qualifications:

•    A Degree level qualification (or equivalent) is desirable

•    Part CIPS qualification is desirable

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Technical

•    Knowledge of sustainability and sustainable procurement. 

•    Experience working in a sustainable analyst/reporting role.

•    An understanding of procurement, its role within an organisation, how it adds value and interacts with other functions

•    A good understanding of some core procurement processes (such as e-Sourcing and category management) 

•    Strong numerical and analytical skills with very strong IT skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally SAP

•    Champion process improvements

•    Focus on continuous learning & development

•    A proven ability to multi-task effectively 

•    International experience & Languages an advantage

 

Non-Technical

•    Good influencing and collaboration skills 

•    Demonstrated success working in a cross functional team environment is essential  

•    Enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude, showing initiative and drive

•    Ability to request and obtain help at the appropriate time and work under pressure with good time management skills

•    Good presentation, verbal and written communication skills
