About the Role:


The Sustainable Business Manager is an integral part of the global sustainability team, primarily accountable for developing and implementing sustainability strategies that support Britvic’s vision of being the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow.


Key to this role is equipping and advising key senior stakeholders with the insight and information they need to make strategic decisions for the long-term and acting as a change agent to galvanise support for continuous improvement in this area across the business. 


The role needs to work cross-functionally with teams from across the global business to develop strategies that create a better tomorrow, supporting brands, business units (BUs) and sites to operational the respective strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work closely with your Corporate Relations colleagues and cross functional teams to:


Act as Sustainability champion leading the organisation's drive to improve its sustainability performance across all activities, driving a cultural and behavioral change throughout the Organisation


Operationalise our group-wide Sustainable Business strategy in each, working with functional teams and the PLC Sustainability team to deliver against sustainability targets


Promote and raise awareness of the impact of emerging environmental and social issues, both opportunities and risks, and advise the business on how to respond whilst ensuring alignment with the PLC sustainability strategy


Develop and lead specific sustainability projects/strategies such as the Science Based Target strategy



Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in similar reporting role, within FMCG industry an advantage

Sound business acumen and experience of developing business cases

Strong ability to frame strategic or complex issues in a clear and compelling way

Excellent influencing and persuasion skills

In-depth knowledge of key environmental and social challenges facing the sector and an excellent, relevant network
