About the Role:

*Please note: The location for this role is in our office in Hemel Hempstead for at least one day a week, with another day in London and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.*

 

The Consumer Experience team leads the marketing agenda at Britvic across Strategy, Marketing Capability, Media and Digital. The role of this team is to drive change by designing what great looks like to allow Britvic marketers to develop best-in-class marketing. Our Brand Growth Framework helps to ensure our brands resonate with consumers through being distinctive, relevant and visible. 

 

As the Capability Manager, which is a newly created position, you join at an exciting time as you will be responsible for deploying and implementing the aligned Marketing Capability vision needed to drive Marketing Effectiveness and Digital Advancement for the organization. 

 

You will work closely with the Senior Capability Manager to support the development of capability strategy to ensure Britvic develop a best in class capability programmes across our markets with your key task to develop and deliver the training programmes that inspire our Marketing Community. You will sit within the Consumer Experience team, who lead best practice in Marketing Capability, Media and Digital, reporting to the Senior Capability Manager.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development and delivery of an integrated Capability Calendar for the Marketing teams, working closely with key stakeholders in each market to address prioritised skill areas across the brand growth framework
  2. Develop and deliver inspiring and educational Capability sessions across markets to upskill the Marketing Community based on the aligned Capability calendar
  3. Create a continuous learning circle with the Senior Capability Manager following feedback from sessions to ensure that content is best in class
  4. Programme management of supporting learning interventions across markets ensuring that the content is relevant by market.
  5. Deploy resources generated in the Brand Growth framework and recommend areas for further development eg learning interventions, development of best practice case studies, practical learning exercises for different levels of knowledge, external speakers, internal experts 
  6. Take responsibility to ensure the learning portal/ Capability site is populated with the most up to date information and case studies.
  7. Support the development of MyLearning (or other future LMS) and champion linked in learning to recommend effective use of digital learning resources. 
  8. Own marketing functional skills onboarding for new starters in Marketing teams across our markets with new starter Capability sessions
  9. Contribute to thought leadership within the Global Marketing Teams in continuous learning, industry trends and future views of marketing best practice.

 


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. The individual needs to be tenacious and have excellent communication and presentation skills. The individual needs to have credibility to deliver programmes to experienced marketers so first-hand experience across brand management is essential, with exposure to the full marketing mix, ideally in an FMCG brand side role, who is hungry to use their experience to embed what great marketing looks like
  2. Experience in capability is not essential but evidence of personal development and a keen interest in how brands grow, effective marketing and up to date marketing thinking is essential.
  3. To achieve this the job holder needs to be: 
  4.  A strong Collaborator/ Communicator: The individual will have excellent interpersonal (written/oral communication skills) to enable the development of highly effective internal and external partnerships. They will work collaboratively with the Marketing community, supporting and challenging them to continuously improve their people and teams’ processes.  
  5. A Strong Influencer: The individual needs to gain a high level of sponsorship for the programmes developed from senior stakeholders with a highly developed influencing style. They also need to be comfortable with constructively challenging and being challenged.
  6. A  relationship builder: The individual will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build trusting business relationships. 
  7. Passionate and inspiring: The individual will be a leading member of the team responsible for marketing best practice at Britvic. They need to show a passion for brands and marketing that is contagious and be able to convey that passion in an inspiration way to marketing teams and the wider business.
