About the Role:


Our Business Operations Executive will be a part of the commercial team, providing the chance to gain hands-on experience in both operations and category-related activities. This unique role involves actively participating in Strategy Planning and Execution projects,  focused on internal engagement, senior stakeholder engagement and communication, analysing sales performance data for presentation to stakeholders, assessing category performance, and assisting in the development of sales support.


This role is central to our planning and execution of commercial initiatives, therefore strong links will be required cross-functionally with the Sales team, Category Strategy, Business Performance Insights,  Brand Marketing & Shopper Marketing with the chance to build great relationships.


This role presents an excellent opportunity for a high achieving graduate and/or recent graduate with a few years experience under the belt, with expertise in customer operations, category management, or hospitality/FMCG, offering exposure to both internal operations and external category dynamics with the potential to establish a rewarding career with lots of learning and growth.


To be succesful you will need an inquisitive mind and be a strong self-starter, an ambitous individual who wants to build a career in business or category operations across a plethora of projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Help execute future growth opportunities within the channel
  2. Help execute close working relationship with cross functional partners including brand teams, customer management & shopper strategy 
  3. Support creation and implementation of channel AOP linking back to brand outcomes required
  4. Help execute customer base through understanding of key customer strategies to support us in improving our brand visibility and performance
  5. Help execute outlet-level opportunities by channel
  6. Help execute relevant toolkits to bring AOP (annual operating plans) to life & cascade to teams
  7. Help execute monthly performance cycle tracking against AOP big rocks supporting the commercial team on their in year delivery
  8. Build close working relationships with key customers’ buying and insights teams, expanding Britvic Contact strategy 
  9. Support Customer Management team through delivery of inspirational brand execution selling in key customer meetings and engagement days


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Commercial FMCG experience is ideal.
  2. Experience of category management & first-hand experience of managing customer relationships is ideal
  3. Shopper / Customer Marketing &/or commercial experience also valued
  4. Experienced in using multiple data sources such as IRI, CGA, CGA Brand Track, Kantar Alcovision, MCA, Mintel to build a compelling trade story
  5. Strategic thinker able to develop clear vision for the category within the channel / customer
  6. Strong commercial skills across a range of channels/companies
  7. Strong communicator (written & presented) with good story telling & facilitation skills
  8. Demonstrable capability of applying category management thinking
  9. Good understanding of the latest consumer / shopper / market insight techniques
