About the Role:


The Finance Accountant is responsible for supporting the Commercial Accounting team in accounting and reporting of the trade investment spends across all routes to market in GB, Ireland and International.


The Finance Assistant will also be responsible for:

  • Supporting Period-end activities and financial reporting
  • Assisting with the year end audit
  • Ad hoc requests to support the Commercial Accounting Team



Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the preparation of period end accounts for PD, ADF, LTD in GB and Int’l in line with the group timetable reporting to the CAM
  • Prepare period end reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts with fully supported and adequate documentation
  • Prepare SAP v COPA reconciliations
  • Provide period end inputs to the scorecard activities on trade investment and adjustments
  • Support the corrective workaround and resolution of system issues impacting PD & ADF


Business Partnering


  • Ad-hoc support for the Commercial Accounting Manager


Audit & Control

Support with gathering of all documentation relating to the investment line samples for the external audit.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:


  • Basic understanding of financial & accounting principles
  • Good level of Excel skills
  • Good communicator – able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleagues
  • Operates with discipline
  • Good Time management skills
  • Level 1 or 2 AAT Qualified
