About the Role:


In order to achieve its 2025 ambitions, Britvic will need to deliver both organic growth through its existing business units and inorganic growth through an M&A pipeline. This role exists to play a full role in prospecting for targets, executing deals and integrating acquired targets into Britvic.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct full market analysis to identify and prioritise target markets in which Britvic should be looking to expand
  • Within identified priority markets, identify target businesses that Britvic might look to acquire, merge or partner with
  • Perform deep analysis of identified targets and their potential fit with Britvic – to include financial, commercial, operational, & cultural aspects,  and resulting potential synergies – and establish the conditions under which Britvic should look to initiate contact
  • Build financial models to understand target market margin trees and estimated target brand margins
  • Build Business Cases for targets including financial models
  • Continuously monitor and update the pipeline over time, as developments occur
  • Monitor the market for comparable transactions, reporting key deals and identifying trends
  • Play a lead role in due diligence, both in financial analysis and project management of the deal
  • Manage identified aspects of integration, primarily financial
  • Build strong relationships with key internal and external (banks, consultancies, etc) partners to enable all the above


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:


  • 10 years experience building on a financial background
  • Previous experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and preferably Financial Control
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced financial modelling capability
  • Ability to distil key messages and make recommendations from complex data
  • Mergers & acquisitions experience – to have played a key role in a number of previous transactions
  • International experience, proven ability to work in other cultures, to learn basics of foreign languages, and to build relationships in other cultures
  • Broad business and commercial understanding in a FMCG environment - experience and/or understanding of all core business functions, to facilitate understanding of potential synergies
  • Strategic Planning. Ability to understand business strategy and relate financial performance to it, clearly and succinctly articulating key performance indicators
  • Storytelling capability – to be able to tell in a clear, concise and insightful manner the story of a potential market, target or business case and its fit with Britvic
  • Strong stakeholder management, persuasion, influencing and verbal and written presentation skills –  demonstrate capability and experience of interacting with senior stakeholders across different cultures, and comfort to both engage and lead conversations at plc Exec level
  • Proactive, self starting and enthusiastic
  • ‘Detective’ mentality – ability to identify an anomaly and pursue it to a conclusion



  • Finance Qualified (ACCA ICMA preferable)
