About the Role:
Are you an ambitious and driven individual looking to make a name for yourself in a role that allows you to showcase your account development skills? Are you ready to leverage the power of some of the biggest soft drinks brands in the market to bring amazing growth results to your customers? If the answer is yes then look no further! 
In this exciting and fast paced role you will be responsible for being the main commercial contact for your territory of the hospitality channel in Britvic. Your drive and energy will help match the ambition to more than double the share of business in this channel. There is an ambitious target of new distribution to be won, as well as working with marketing and brands teams to create exciting and impactful executions, all of which will facilitate the achievement of the overall budget plan. You will bring your experience, drive and enthusiasm to build great relationships across all stakeholder groups, exploring more than just the traditional mechanics that ensure contract compliance and year on year growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. To work with an established account base of accounts with a view to growing their profit and Britvic volume
  2. To implement National brand plans as well as bespoke customer specific activation with effective evaluation of all activity 
  3. To renegotiate commercial terms where necessary to drive profit for both the customer & Britvic
  4. Successfully grow distribution of key brands and NPD & sell in with activation
  5. Work collaboratively with all cross functional teams, especially Finance & Legal to ensure that each customer delivers against channel commercial goals and Britvic’s strategic direction
  6. Build relationships cross business with key customers wholesalers in order to manage customer volumes and invoicing
  7. To work to develop a customer specific tactical plan that drives BSD share, net revenue & trading contribution all of which is aligned to the AOP plan
  8. To ensure that high quality preparation is done prior to your customer meetings and that customer meetings are appropriately structured and run, in order to maximise business opportunities
  9. To produce periodic reports for internal and external use to identify key sales information, any trends and opportunities
  10. Complete information ready for periodic business reviews
  11. To be the conduit between Britvic technical services and your customer base
  12. To pro-actively track performance of your accounts, implementing course correct tactics as necessary & driving a dynamic, cross functional, collaborative way of working in order to maximise the performance of your territory
  13. To ensure that appropriate time is spent within your customer outlets to:

      - Build knowledge, understanding & insight, including key competitor activity
      - Evaluate execution & compliance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. A degree in a business or commercial related degree
  2. Experience of working in other drinks categories (desirable)
  3. To balance Working from home and face to face Customer meetings and time in trade as necessary
  4. Creative thinker able to capture a vision of the future and create a plan for action
  5. Integrity 
  6. Strong commercial acumen to enable development of strong Britvic commercial propositions which can be developed into account plans & implementable in outlet execution plans.
  7. Strong selling and negotiation skills
  8. Attention to detail 
  9. Self-motivated with ability to work alone whilst also delivering as part of the wider team
  10. Excellent organisational and time management skills – Driven/motivated to ensure all Britvic sales opportunities are exploited 
  11. Experience of customer terms/contract renegotiation (desirable)
