About the Role:
As HR Business Partner you will partner with our GB Commercial executive members to lead and manage the end to end People/HR agenda for the Commercial group ensuring the business objectives are achieved through the utilisation and deployment of the programmes, tools, policies & frameworks. 


Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business/People Planning

  1. Partner with business area to translate corporate and functional strategic plans into people plans that are aligned to the overall strategic HR agenda.
  2. Embed plans in order to develop the required organisational capability to deliver the strategic plans and growth agenda.

 

Organisational Development and Change 

  1. Act as a catalyst and guide for any required change management strategies, providing coaching on their translation into talent, capability, resource and culture plans
  2. Lead change implementation planning including impact assessment, change planning and business readiness assessments. 
  3. Orchestrate the delivery or required change activities such as, capability development, cultural & behavioural changes and engagement plans
  4. Work with the project sponsors to identify required cultural changes and implement relevant programmes to support the evolution of the current culture
  5. Manage the required employee engagement activities to ensure the change is successfully embedded across the relevant teams/function

 

Talent Management 

  1. Talent reviews - Identify and embed the right talent interventions require to attract, develop and retain talent across the relevant function. Coach others on the application of ‘Managing Performance and Talent’ frameworks and succession planning strategies ensuring consistency of application and interpretation Play a key role in the Talent Forum, ensuring consistency of application of principles and challenging where necessary
  2. Performance Management  - Drive a high performance culture by challenging management teams to appropriately apply a breadth of performance and development principles and tools when making people planning decisions and strategies. 
  3. Capability Development - Lead the diagnosis of customer group technical and managerial development needs engaging the Capability team in requirements for any programme delivery and commissioning the development of interventions to increase technical capability. 
  4. Resource Management - Agree and implement a Strategic Resource Plan for their area of the business, identifying scarce resource needs and planning accordingly and identifying bench strength needs for business critical roles.

 

Employee Engagement 

  1. Build employee engagement, supporting the customer group in the interpretation of and action planning.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Experience and understanding of Leadership Development and coaching techniques, Strategic Resource Planning, Succession Planning, Behavioural and Cultural change and Managing Performance and Talent.
  2. Organisational Development and Change Management – Experience of managing and delivering organisation change including organisational design, process re-engineering, behavioural and cultural Change programmes.
  3. Policy understanding: Awareness of critical current and emerging employment legislation requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  1. CIPD qualified (ideally)
