About the role:
As Head of Brand Activation you will lead the Hospitality channels brand execution platforms across License, Dining, WEH & leisure whilst working closely with the Brand Director for Hospitality. On a day to day basis you will take ownership of the channels brand execution strategy within outlet through a developed annual shopper marketing plan that brings the strategy to life in the channels key customers. You will ensure that the plan delivers against the physical availability targets agreed within brand AOP’s and is aligned to exceed Point of Purchase (POP) drivers set out in the channel plans. You will also engage customer management teams to ensure that we have a full understanding of their customers’ strategy, tactics and approach to shopper marketing, and engage with key Gold+, Gold and Silver customers to ensure our plan is executed flawlessly, bringing our brands to life whilst building both ours and the customers businesses.  
As Head of Brand Activation you will champion a coaching, learning and development culture across shopper marketing with a focus on growing broader shopper marketing capability in near functions (Brand & Customer Management) and seeking to develop a Centre of Excellence approach for the function which results in Britvic and its brands exceeding customer expectations and delivering stand-out visibility in outlet. 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Developing future growth opportunities and brand execution platforms within the channel
  2. Develop close working relationship with cross functional partners including brand teams, customer management & shopper strategy 
  3. Support creation and implementation of channel AOP linking back to brand outcomes required
  4. Develop customer base through understanding of key customer strategies to support us in improving our brand visibility and performance
  5. Evaluation of activations within the channel
  6. Develop team capability and future talent pipeline
  7. Accountable for translation & delivery of AOP through a clear set of POP activation led outcomes that are tracked through the year
  8. Ownership of monthly performance cycle tracking against AOP big rocks supporting the commercial team on their in year delivery
  9. Build close working relationships with key customers’ buying and marketing teams, expanding Britvic Contact strategy 
  10. Support Customer Management team through delivery of inspirational brand execution selling in key customer meetings and engagement days
  11. Support team to build outlet level execution plans by sub channel and support within strategic partner accounts

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:

  1. Strong shopper marketing expertise with solid experience of developing and delivering commercially grounded marketing activity into customers
  2. Track record of successfully activating brand, NPD and portfolio activities
  3. Experience of working with multiple customers across different channels in a consumer-led organisation
  4. Commercial and category understanding
  5. Knowledge of customer management and 3rd party sales
  6. Strategic thinking and ability to shape a vision, create an annual plan and engage a wide network of stakeholders to deliver that plan with key customers
  7. Meticulous project management capability and commercial grounding to ensure delivery of plans
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong internal relationships and customer relationships to influence, challenge and deliver
  9. Strong Leadership and influencing capability
  10. Experience of Budget management
