Indirect Tax – Senior Manager

We are looking to hire someone to lead Britvic’s Indirect Tax activities across the Group.  This person will oversee our indirect tax returns for the business globally (apart from France & Brazil) to ensure full compliance.  We would also expect this person to be have a strong awareness of indirect tax developments and advise and partner with the business to manage the implications of any new or amended rules. 

 

Whilst this role is accountable for ensuring indirect tax compliance, the successful candidate should be seen as a true advisor to the business.  You should enjoy relationship building and be curious.  We are in a period of growth and this role needs to advise and support the delivery of our strategy in relation to indirect taxes both in the UK and overseas.

 

You would also be responsible for ensuring that we have appropriate systems, processes and controls in place and identifying and managing indirect tax risks.  This role owns the indirect tax relationship with HMRC and is responsible for managing any audits or enquiries in this area.

 

This role will manage the Indirect Tax Manager so line management experience would be useful but isn’t a pre-requisite.

 

An ideal candidate would probably be working at a manufacturing company or a company that operates cross-border and be in a FTSE 100 – 250 business.

 

The role will report to the Director of Tax & Treasury and is part of a well-established and respected in-house tax team.
