About the Role:

The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively across all functions in the organisation to understand any pain points or poor experiences that our end-user community may be facing around their overall IT experience.

This could include but not limited to the user’s experience with the IT ServiceDesk, delivery of a BAU/Project change (for example roll out of new services such as Skype for Business or equipment change such as new Laptops) or any changes of which typically are part of the IT and Digital Roadmap. The role holder will work with key stakeholders from Project Managers to Business Support Managers throughout the Project delivery or Change process to ensure technical solutions are delivered that are fit for purpose and are embedded into the relevant Business function, with very little impact to the end user community.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

-Builds and maintains strong relationships across all functions of the organisation to promote simpler and more productive ways of working;

-Takes ownership – to deliver to deadlines and speediness of any outstanding resolution of issues, ensuring the key stakeholder(s) are kept up to date throughout;

-Build familiarity with current trends (productivity, collaboration, mobility, end user) and digital workplace technologies and input to roadmap planning; 

Enabling delivery

-Facilitate workshops to understand employee pain points, define user requirements and/or knowledge transfer sessions;

-Makes suggestions on areas of improvement using knowledge or innovative thinking

-Working in virtual teams across business functions, IT and 3rd party suppliers.

-Involvement the project delivery process and any relevant testing ensuring any new solutions meet our business requirements and IT standards.

-Create and review documentation including specifications, testing approach and creation of end user documentation to support delivered IT solutions in a timely manner;

-Take part or host any feedback sessions/updates of workstreams to peer group and senior management.

Driving User Adoption:

-Agree and track key measures (i.e. success criteria, feedback) and take corrective actions to increase user adoption;

-Produce & maintain relevant and impactful learning & communication materials;

-Support user education either on a 121 basis, in a group environment or online;

-Carry out ad-hoc or regular surveys to obtain feedback on the user experience and formulate action plans to address any areas of improvement where necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Demonstrate ability to be proactive, deal with ambiguity, and quickly develop technical understanding of business processes and IT products;

Experience in working in teams or individually to gather requirements, implementing new products/services and/or delivering of solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels;

Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops, ask relevant questions, and be an attentive listener;

Ability to work alongside a variety of stakeholders within the business and IT to achieve the same goal;

Able to proactively plan and prioritise workload.

Qualifications:

-Degree level / working towards or equivalent in IT related subject – Preferred
