Learning Manager (Commercial Focus)
Hybrid role - working from home/Hemel Hempstead office

Role Purpose
Designs, delivers and review effectiveness/impact of learning solutions that underpin our Learning and Workforce Plans.  Leads on key interventions and BAU activities to support a continuous learning culture that maximises the potential of our people and drives performances.
- Reporting to the GB Head of Learning, this role will be a c. 80 / 20 split focus between Commercial learning and other general learning initiatives.
Key responsibilities
  • Diagnose, design, deliver, facilitate and implement effective learning programmes.
  • Working collaboratively to build and manage stakeholder relationships e.g. HR, 3rd Parties, people leaders.
  • Partner with our Early Careers Team to ensure that we are utilising our Apprenticeship Levy to grow and strengthen capabilities.
  • Streamline L&D process to ensure a great people experience which is simple and effective
  • Develop outcomes, KPIs and metrics to monitor effectiveness of interventions and enhancing capability
  • Drive adoption of our learning platform encouraging engagement and ensure it continues to evolve with the business
  • Lead defined learning initiatives and projects (for example, career pathing) to time, cost, quality that achieve stated outcomes
  • Stay up to date with external best practice and latest developments to strengthen capability
Key Deliverables
  • Develop/execute plans to continuously build Selling & Negotiation capability
  • Evolve and embed our Commercial Competency Framework beyond Sales
  • Capability support for commercial challenges and unlocks e.g. CPI, RGM
  • Identify capability gaps across Category, Shopper, Commercial Growth teams and develop/execute plans to close
  • Support execution of general learning initiatives e.g. Manager Development, Strengthscope, digital learning an our new learning moments calendar
  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager,  experience working in a Commercial function is desirable.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project/stakeholder management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong communication and ability to positively  influence stakeholders/vendors
