About the Role:

The Britvic Procurement team are responsible for sourcing all goods and services the business needs to operate. Our Indirect requirements include Marketing Services as well as supporting wider business needs for indirect purchasing across IT and Professional Services. Our vision and mission is below. 


As Procurement Category Manager for Marketing Services, you will effectively create and execute short, medium and long term group procurement strategies to maximise Britvic’s purchasing power through the effective prioritisation of categories within the portfolio.


There will  be a requirement to support wider across the Marketing services category and you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Britvic’s worldwide operations, leading the implementation of group wide procurement strategy for this category of spend.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build effective supplier relationships across the most strategic suppliers within the Marketing Services categories to mitigate risk and drive value for Britvic
  2. Optimise savings and value delivery through sustaining high levels of innovation/NPD, driving continuing cost & value efficiencies, reducing risk through implementation of contractual rigour, improving sustainability and facilitating the drive to improve the quality and reliability of the supply chain 
  3. Provide on-going reports to Finance and key budget holders across the group, with strong recommendations of opportunities for adding value, driving efficiencies 
  4. Conduct category planning approaches via our Cirtuo tool to aid budgeting and forecasting process and monitor the implementation of the forecast on an on-going basis
  5. Execute Category Management and delivery of financial benefit through strong presentation and facilitation skills
  6. Provide guidance and support to any direct reports or junior members of the team, the Centre Of Excellence buying helpdesk team and departmental colleagues and assist in the development and recruitment of current and future employees within the Group Procurement function
  7. Ensure that Britvic’s suppliers are compliant with the company’s ethical trading policy and that they demonstrate a commitment to meeting our expectations of corporate responsibility


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  1. Established Marketing procurement experience  is essential 
  2. Knowledge of category management and supplier relationship management tools and techniques is essential 
  3. Experience of leading and developing own or core project teams is essential
  4. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential
  5. Strong analytical skills are essential
