About the Role:
This role is part of the Indirects & Supply Chain Procurement Team.  The team manages a spend of over £400m across the Britvic group for a variety of different categories including Marketing Services, IT and Professional Services, FM, Capex & MRO, Co-packing, Logistics and Customer Operations.  

 

This Procurement Category Manager role is one of two focused on Marketing Services, reporting to the Senior Category Manager – Marketing Services.  You will effectively create and execute short, medium, and long term group procurement strategies, primarily across Media and Creative spend areas.  However, flexibility is required to support wider across the Marketing services category and you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Britvic’s worldwide operations, leading the implementation of group wide procurement strategy for your category of responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop sourcing strategies through the application of Category Management.
  2. Conduct supplier sourcing events (inc. analysis and evaluation) and contract negotiations, capturing outcomes in robust contractual agreements.
  3. Build effective supplier relationships across the Marketing Services supplier base, driving value over time using Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tools where appropriate.  Support resolving supplier performance issues.
  4. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop a pipeline of value generating opportunities (productivity/sustainability/innovation), delivering in accordance with agreed targets/objectives.
  5. Input into budgetary/financial planning/financial outlook processes, reporting on risks and opportunities to plan delivery as required. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Established Marketing procurement experience is essential, ideally in Media and Creative services  
  2. Knowledge of category management and supplier relationship management tools and techniques is essential 
  3. Experience of leading and developing own or core project teams is essential
  4. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential
  5. Strong analytical skills are essential
  6. A proven ability to multi-task effectively is essential
  7. Experience working in FMCG or Consumer goods organisations is desirable

 

Qualifications:

  1. CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS is desirable but not essential
