About the Role:

As R&D Lab Technologist you will be responsible for the flawless delivery of new and exciting products within our PD from concept creation. You will be responsible for the Maintenance and calibrations of all equipment in the PD laboratories  utilising OEM manuals and recommendations. You will be Responsible for the for the technical data creation to support project management of projects within the R&D Department. You will ensure robust technical expertise with a scientific approach is applied with rigor to gain competitive advantage and ensure product solutions are delivered right first time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for Data collation and reporting for new Technologies and Equipment that can be utilised in the PD laboratory to ensure its suitable against the project definition whilst supporting Capex development opportunities.
  2. Responsible for ensuring all Lab equipment calibration, verification and Maintenance activities are carried out on time and to manufactures specifications or best practices.
  3. Accountable for ensuring all Consumables and ingredients are in date and on site when needed.
  4. Accountable for training all new starters and constant development of PD Lab staff withing process, technologies and testing.
  5. Support Batch make ups when needed to ensure PD lab is utilised to its fullest.
  6. Responsible for the upkeep of SOPs and Risk assessments for equipment within the Laboratory and associated areas
  7. Accountable to ensure the Lab is kept to the highest hygiene standards via internal and 3rd Part Asset care programs and 5S

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Knowledge in working under laboratory conditions
  2. Relevant product development experience is essential
  3. Experience in training and 5S systems
  4. Experience in Project management
  5. Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  6. Understanding of COSHH , Food safety & HACCP

 

Qualifications:

  1. Honours or Degree equivalent in relevant science discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Food science, Chemistry
