About the Role:


The Britvic Technical R&D team span across a number of functions, including Sensory Science, Pack Innovation, Liquid innovation etc “Create, Protect and Deliver” is our vision and the team is passionate about providing the key enablement activity and expertise which supports the group business growth agenda.

As Sensory Taste Tester, you will be working to guarantee that Britvic provides the best tasting soft drinks for consumers, ensuring that the quality of our products is high and maintaining customer and brand trust through the management of Sensory Panels and testing programmes

The data generated by this panel will be used to support key business decisions and provide critical insight to drive the client's product development agenda.


Key Responsibilities:

-Responsible for participate in product testing describing a range of drink products in terms of appearance, aroma, flavour, mouthfeel and afterfeel.

-Recognizes and learns these attributes and rates them accurately and reliably using the prescribed scales and scale references.

-Actively participates and collaborates in Descriptive panel discussions describing product attributes, attribute definitions, use of scale and scale references.

-Responsible for completely and accurately entering own product scoring data into ballots, either on paper or via computer using specialist sensory software

-Following instructions on sample evaluation, use of scale and ballot completion given by the Panel leader.

-Participate in product and sensory related training, and successfully applying this learning to the day to day job

Conducting Triangle & Preference testing with employees to support project work


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

-Are able to commit to a long-term, part-time opportunity based in HH

-Can work a minimum of 3 days per week for 3 hours each morning

-Are passionate about working with some of Britain’s best loved brands

-Have an interest in learning  about product and sensory evaluation, as well as being confident to express opinions and perceptions

-Have no allergies, medical conditions or dietary restrictions which may impede evaluation ability

Would love to taste and evaluate products as part of the day to day job

-Highly proficient in both spoken and written English

-No prior experience is necessary but successful completion of all screening tests is required to be a panelist.
