Over the last few years, we have installed 10 new production lines, 3 new warehouses, a combined heat and power plant (CHP), as well as providing infrastructure for further expansion.

 

About the Role:

  • Develop and lead the Supply Chain analytical centre of excellence team (4 people) to provide the analytical / reporting solutions to meet the requirements of the local supply chain teams
  • Demand Planning lead on projects requiring expertise linked to our forecasting processes.  Lead & Implement process changes, through cross functional working and stakeholder engagement
  • Providing thought leadership in our S&OP processes 
  • Provide business recommendation for system enhancements with supporting benefit for change.  Support with future roadmap planning including transition from SAP APO to IBP
  • Development of our inventory strategy, ensuring our inventory rules are updated and refined in line with our changing network and planning rules 
  • Support the annual budget, period capacity planning and strategic planning
  • Lead continuous improvement using 3rd parties, external peer groups and benchmarking and understanding of latest trends within the industry.
  • Share best practice with key users (GB, Ireland and International)


Key Responsibilities:


People / Leadership:

  • Manage up to 4 analysts’, ensuring timely delivery of tasks, whilst supporting the development of the team
  • •Engage and Lead key stakeholders, Demand and Supply Planning Leadership teams, commercial, IT, finance & operations functions GB, Ireland and International BU’s) – in order to effectively deliver the required level of change  
  • Consulting with the DSP teams, developing new ideas, processes, translating their needs into a ‘language’ for IT/consultants.  Supporting the development & build of system solutions, testing and delivery.
  • Highlight non-adherence (internal and external) to processes and systems. Support any required improvement through the establishment of training, education and auditing to enable adherence.  
  • Work with external parties (consultancies/specialists) to validate or further develop our thinking linked to future areas of opportunity/improvement/optimisation. 
  • Capture, build and share knowledge in the Supply Chain including running training and coaching sessions to build capability.


Systems, Reporting and Insight:

  • Lead the design and development analytical and reporting solution 
  • Leading the business use of the SAP/APO applications (focus on demand planning) leading successful project delivery 
  • Partner with the IT (& external partners) function to develop and maintain the correct tools to support the analytical and reporting requirements of the role are available
  • Collaborates with Continuous Improvement and Business Teams to deliver great insight, maximising the impact of our data and capitalising on Digital Transformation
  • Providing technical business “expertise” support on the day to day system processes as required


S&OP:

  • Lead specific business projects to develop the processes / improve business performance.  
  • S&OP process: ongoing development and embedding of Demand and Supply planning process to support the wider S&OP processes 
  • Support the strategic development of the medium to long term capacity modelling 
  • Support BU Supply Planning teams on scenarios to optimise the S&OP Plan, building this knowledge and capability in the teams.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Line Management experience
  • Detailed knowledge for S&OP and Supply Chain processes, ideally within FMCG business
  • Experience SAP APO Demand planning essential, SAP R3 and SAC desirable
  • Advanced MS Office skills, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers in a meaningful way to the business teams
  • Excellent analytical skills, high level of financial analysis
