About the Role:
This role is an integral part of the global sustainability team within the Corporate Affairs function, primarily accountable for developing and implementing sustainability strategies that support Britvic’s vision of being the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow.

 

Non-financial information is rapidly catching up with financial reporting in terms of regulations and standards.  With this comes the requirement for the same level of integrity & assurance as our financial information. This role is critical to Britvic reporting accurate, timely & insightful sustainability performance both internally & externally, as we embed Healthier People, Healthier Planet into business as usual, for a resilient Britvic business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Sustainable Business Reporting Manager with the sustainability reporting cycle incl. monthly, quarterly and annual performance updates. Compile and interrogate key monthly data for the PLC Monthly Information Pack (MIP) and produce the Quarterly Business Review cascaded to business unit leadership teams.
  2. Support data management, analysis and reporting of non-financial sustainability metrics across the group, working closely with BUs to ensure best practice data reporting processes and systems are in place.
  3. Building and leveraging strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to collect data, stories and insights to inform performance reporting and strategy development. Represent Sustainable Business at the monthly Zero Harm Forum with the QSE community sharing updates and best practices.
  4. Managing annual emission factors updates & calculating latest Scope 3 (categories 2-15) performance Support the annual sustainability assurance process working closely with Deloitte to answer queries and sources evidence from around the business
  5. Act as Sustainability champion leading the organisation's drive to improve its sustainability performance across all activities, helping to drive a cultural and behavioural change throughout the organisation.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Excellent IT skills including Excel and other analytical software; experience in SAC is a plus
  2. Ability to produce structured, concise and meaningful reports, summarising results and justifying conclusions, containing technical information 
  3. Strong influencing skills to influence people across all Britvic locations
  4. Willingness to build an in-depth knowledge of key environmental and social challenges facing the sector 
  5. Highly competent in corporate carbon footprinting or a willingness to learn, particularly with Scope 3 accounting and analysis
